Changing Tastes Part 2 - With Jordan Paley and Chelsie

This week, we are still with the wonderful Jordan Paley and Chelsie,as we explore how to expand someone’s taste in spirits! Last week, we focused on some lighter notes, but we’re going fully spirit forwards this time. Find out if anybody finds a new favorite spirit, or if tastes can change in unexpected ways, along with much more conversation and exploration of a wide range of spirits!

Cocktails Discussed:

Boyle Heights

2 oz. Abasolo Whisky

1 oz. Dansk Mjød Ribe Mjød

¾ oz. orange juice

¼ oz. Rock 12 Quince Liqueur

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.. Strain into a coupe glass, and garnish with a strip of orange peel..

Drijvende Rook

2 oz. Bols Genver 100% Malt Spirit

½ oz. Lava Cap Winery Joywave 

¼ oz. Calwise Spirits Big Sur Cherry Smoked Gin

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir thoroughly, until well chilled. Strain into a coupe glass, and garnish with a lemon twist.
