Cocktails Discussed:
Royal Highball
1 oz. Leyrat VS Cognac
4 hulled strawberries
4 oz. Brut Cava
Adapted from A Drinkable Feast by Phillip Greene
Muddle the strawberries and cognac in the bottom of a mixing glass. Pour into a highball glass filled with ice, and top with Cava. Garnish with an additional strawberry, and serve.
The Lottery
1 1/2 Seven Caves Tiki Gin
1/2 Cocci Americano Bianco
1/2 Noilly Prat Extra Dry Vermouth
1/4 Pineapple simple syrup
1/4 Raspberry liqueur
1 egg white
Inspired by the Million Dollar cocktail as published in The Way Of The Cocktail by Julia Momosé
Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin. Dry shake to emulsify the egg white, then add ice. Shake again to chill, about five seconds, and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a piece of candied pineapple, and serve.
