Of All The Gin Joints with Jake Faulkner

In our final episode of Repeal month, and the year, we are once again joined by Jake Faulkner to talk about bathtub gin, persistent misconceptions about prohibition, and fancy lightbulb bars!

Drinks Discussed: 

Haori

1 dash absinthe

2 oz. Akori Cherry Blossom Gin

1 1/2 oz. Oka Kura Japanese Bermutto 

1 barspoon Yuzuri Liqueur

2 dashes pomelo bitters

Rinse a chilled coupe glass with the absinthe and set aside. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice, and stir until well  chilled, about 20 - 25 seconds. Strain into the prepared glass, and express a lemon peel over the surface. Discard the lemon twist, and serve.

3.4 oz. You & Yours Provisional Distiller's Reserve Sunday Gin

3.4 oz. Dolin Génépy le Chamois

3.4 oz. Maraska Maraschino Liqueur

3/4 oz. lime juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice, and shake until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass, and garnish with a brandied cherry.
