Past Rum Row: The History of California Rum (Part 1) - With Bryan Inman

This week, we are joined by the Rum Champion himself, Bryan Inman, as we dive into the world of California rum! In this first part, we talk about the somewhat deceptively named Rum Row, how rum culture started in California, and why it took so long to catch on! Follow us as we discuss all of this and more, all while exploring some of the wide range of rums that California has to offer!


Drink discussed:


Wet Gold

1 oz. Rhum Batiste Gold

½ oz. lemon juice

½ oz. Malahat Spirits Cabernet Barrel Aged Rum

½ oz. Bearface Triple Oak Canadian Whisky

¼ oz. Obsidian Spiced Rum

¼ oz. grenadine


Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake until well chilled. Strain into a coupe glass, and garnish with an expressed lemon peel.
